Housing Inspection Division

The Housing Inspection Division is responsible for enforcing codes that govern the maintenance and upkeep of residential property, as well as various health and safety codes, in an effort to provide for the preservation of the City's housing stock and the stabilization of our neighborhoods.
Housing Inspection Services
- Administer multiple-family and two-family rental certification programs
- Administer utility/hazard, housing maintenance, commercial building maintenance, and property nuisance complaints
- Administer property addressing inspections
- Work with the City Attorney and Police on problem properties
- Identify and develop programs to recycle abandoned houses
- Demolish dilapidated structures.
