The City of
Eligible Homes
- Homes located within the City of
- Owner-occupied homes or rental units (one- to four-unit buildings only)
- Household income that falls within the maximum household income guidelines
- A home or apartment in which a child under the age of six is currently living or an apartment that is vacant
Assistance for Homeowners
- If there is a lead-poisoned child in the home, all repairs are made for free.
- If there is a lead hazard, but there are no lead-poisoned children, homeowners are eligible for a no interest loan of up to $12,000. Depending on household income, between 30% and 70% of the loan may be forgiven.

Assistance for Landlords
- Rental property owners may be eligible for grants up to $8,000 per unit, with an up-front payment of $1,000.
- Rental properties must be marketed to families with young children at affordable rents for the next three years.
- Landlords or their maintenance staff must attend free Lead Safe Work Practices training.
