Investigative Division
 | Captain Jeffrey Hertel served as commander of the Investigative Division for the 5th year. Lieutenant Paul Warwick served as the commander of the Detective Unit. The Detective Unit was comprised of teams that were assigned cases based on the types of crimes involved. Personnel included 1 lieutenant, 7 sergeants, and 48 detectives/officers. |
 | Lt. Warwick is the Lieutenant for the Investigative Division. Lt. Warwick is a second-generation Grand Rapids Police Officer, as his father was an officer with the city. Lt. Warwick's son, Tom, is also a police officer with the city, bringing the Warwick legacy of service to three generations so far! Lt. Warwick is also the Commander for the department's Bomb Team. |
