Investigative Division
 | Captain Jeffrey Hertel began his law enforcement career with the Grand Rapids Police Department in 1991. He has served as commander of the Investigative Division since 2003. The Detective Unit is comprised of teams that are assigned cases based on the types of crimes involved. Personnel include: 1 lieutenant, 7 sergeants, and 48 detectives/officers. |
 | Lt. Warwick is the Lieutenant for the Investigative Division. Lt. Warwick is a second-generation Grand Rapids Police Officer, as his father was an officer with the city. Lt. Warwick's son, Tom, is also a police officer with the city, bringing the Warwick legacy of service to three generations so far! Lt. Warwick is also the Commander for the department's Bomb Team. |
